Hoary cress, commonly known as Whitetop, is native to western Asia and eastern Europe and is an invasive species in North America, introduced by contanimated seeds in the early 1900s.
A perennial that grows up to 2 feet tall, it produces flat dense white flower clusters. Two reddish brown seeds are contained in each heart-shaped seedpod.
Hoary Cress is found in cultivated fields, pastures, waste areas and roadsides.
