Bryan Dallolio picks a stem of the Pepperweed and notes that this is the most amount of damage he has seen this particular fungus doing to the plant. He looks closely at a stalk and notes that it is mostly dessicated and might not have viable seeds on it. He also notes that this fungus does have an impact but it is not as efficient as the weed control people would like. The fungus seems to move around on its own fairly well but It has not been approved as a biological control release because they do not know if it affects other plants in the Mustard family, as Pepperweed is.
