Birds are calling in the background. Roger Batt notices that underneath the canopy of this Whitetop there are quite a few other noxious weeds. Quite a bit of new growth of Poison Hemlock can be seen as well as Canada Thistle. He comments that this area is sort of a weedy wasteland. Bryan Dallolio agrees and notes that you could view this area as a perfect restoration spot. In his opinion, since there is not a biological control agent for this Whitetop, a herbicide treatment with some revegetation would definitely be in order. If competitive shrubs and grasses could be introduced against this plant and Canada Thistle there could be a hope that it would revert back to the way it should be. Native trees and willows should be here, but none of the noxious weeds.
