| Brad Bleumer explains that the root system for the Tansy Ragwort is pretty simple and does not amount to much. It is almost like a mustard root compared to its cousin the Common Tansy that has a massive root system. This plant spreads mostly by seed which is unique in that it is almost "time released." That is, all of the seeds will not sprout in a given time but in different years, so it is very self sustaining. A lot of weeds have this common trait.
