Brad Bluemer, Bonner County Weed Superintendent, explains that we are on Grouse Creek in the Northern portion of Bonner County. He notes that this is about a 180 acre infestation of Tansy Ragwort they have been working on for about three years. This bench and part of the meadow below was totally infested with the weed. They have reduced it in the last three years with the Cooperative Weed Management Areas work and the Forest Service assistance to scattered patches like the ones right here. Brad hopes to eradicate this weed in the next three to five years.
